Package Billing
Billing a procedure or stay as a single bundled fixed price instead of itemising every individual charge.

Package billing bundles all the expected costs of a procedure or defined episode of care — surgeon's fee, room, consumables, routine investigations and nursing — into one fixed price, rather than charging each line item separately as the stay progresses. It is common in India for surgeries, maternity care, and routine health check-ups.
Why it matters in a hospital
A package gives the patient's family cost certainty before a planned procedure, which matters a great deal when they're weighing whether they can afford treatment and how to arrange the money for it. It also simplifies billing for the hospital on routine, well-understood procedures — though anything genuinely outside the package's scope still needs to be billed as an honest, clearly identified extra rather than silently absorbed or silently added. Packages also give a hospital a useful internal benchmark: if the real cost of delivering a procedure creeps above what the package charges over time, that's a concrete, early signal worth investigating rather than only discovering the margin problem at year-end.
How Trisvio handles it
Trisvio lets a hospital define packages against its tariff and apply them to a bill in one step, while anything that falls outside the package's defined scope is still billed as a separate, itemised extra rather than folded invisibly into the package total. Because the package is applied at billing rather than negotiated line by line, staff at the counter don't need to remember every inclusion themselves — the system applies the agreed price consistently, visit after visit.
