HMIS
Hospital (or Health) Management Information System — in India the acronym usually means the government reporting portal, not the hospital’s own software.

HMIS expands to Hospital Management Information System, but in Indian usage it far more often refers to the Ministry of Health's HMIS portal, through which public facilities report monthly service statistics. The same five letters therefore mean a hospital's own software in one conversation and a national reporting system in the next.
Why it matters in a hospital
The ambiguity causes real confusion in requirement documents. A tender asking for HMIS compliance may mean the facility must be able to produce the government's monthly return, or may simply mean it wants hospital software — and those are very different obligations. Ask which is meant before estimating anything. For a private hospital not reporting to the portal, the answer is usually the second.
How Trisvio handles it
Trisvio is hospital software in the first sense. It does not submit to the government HMIS portal and has no integration with it. Its reports export as CSV, which a hospital that does report can use as a source for compiling a return by hand.
