Indent
An internal request for stock — a ward asking the main pharmacy or store to issue items, distinct from purchasing from a supplier.

An indent is a request raised inside the hospital: a ward, theatre or department asking the central pharmacy or store to issue stock to it. It moves stock between internal locations rather than bringing it in from outside, and it is the internal counterpart of the goods receipt that brings stock in.
Why it matters in a hospital
Without an indent trail, stock issued to a ward simply leaves the pharmacy's records and enters nobody's. The consequence is a hospital that cannot say what a ward consumed, cannot reconcile a ward's floor stock, and cannot tell issue from loss. It also breaks patient-level costing: medicine given to a patient and medicine sitting in a ward cupboard look identical once the pharmacy has written both off.
How Trisvio handles it
Trisvio dispenses to a specific admission rather than to a ward, so inpatient medicine is attributed to the patient who received it and posts to their bill. A general ward-indent and floor-stock workflow is not built — a hospital running ward-level stock should expect to handle that outside the system today.
